外僑居留證（ARC）相當於國際學生在臺灣的臨時身分證，是在臺合法居留的重要證明文件。請務必妥善保管，並隨時注意居留證的有效期限。

The Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) serves as a temporary identification card for international students in Taiwan and is an important document proving legal residence. Please keep your ARC safe and always check its expiration date.

持居留簽證入境臺灣，或於臺灣境內取得居留簽證者，應依規定於 入境次日或居留簽證核發次日起30日內， 向內政部移民署申請外僑居留證（ARC）。

Students entering Taiwan with a resident visa or obtaining a resident visa while in Taiwan must apply for an ARC through the National Immigration Agency (NIA) within 30 days from the day following their entry or the issuance of their resident visa, as applicable.

重要提醒：持居留簽證入境者，應於入境次日起30日內申請居留證；其他情況依移民署規定辦理。
Important: Resident visa holders must apply for an ARC within 30 days from the day following entry. Other cases are subject to NIA rules.

一、簡介 / I. Introduction

居留證由內政部移民署核發。符合資格的外國及僑生學生，可依其簽證與居留資格，透過線上系統申請。
The ARC is issued by the National Immigration Agency (NIA). Eligible international and overseas Chinese students may apply online according to their visa and residence status.

二、申請資格 / II. Eligibility

符合移民署規定、在臺就學並具備適當居留資格之外國及僑生學生。實際適用資格依個人國籍、護照與居留身分而定。
International and overseas Chinese students studying in Taiwan who meet NIA residence requirements. Eligibility depends on nationality, passport, and residence status.

三、申請項目 / III. Application Services

1. 首次申請 / Initial Application
備妥護照、簽證、照片、居住證明及在學證明 / Certificate of Enrollment等系統要求文件，於法定期限內提出申請。
Prepare the required passport, visa, photo, proof of address, certificate of enrollment, and other documents, and apply within the applicable deadline.

2. 居留延期 / Extension
繼續就學且居留期限即將屆滿者，應在期限屆滿前及早提出延期申請。
Students continuing their studies should apply for an extension before their ARC expires.

3. 資料異動 / Information Changes
住址、學籍或其他登記事項變更時，請依規定期限申請資料異動。
Report changes to your address, enrollment, or other registered information within the required period.

四、申請進度查詢 / IV. Application Status

送出申請後，請保存系統提供的收件號碼，並登入線上系統使用「案件進度查詢」等功能確認審查狀態與補件通知。
After submitting your application, save your application reference number and use the online system to check its status and any requests for additional documents.

五、線上繳費 / V. Online Payment

案件審核通過後，依系統通知期限及可用方式繳納規費。費用依申請種類、居留效期及主管機關最新公告而定。
After approval, pay the applicable fee by the deadline and payment methods shown in the system. Fees depend on the application type, validity period, and current official regulations.

六、居留證及收據下載 / VI. ARC and Receipt Download

完成審查及繳費後，請依系統通知下載可用的電子文件與收據，並按照移民署指示領取實體居留證（如適用）。
After approval and payment, follow the system instructions to download available electronic documents and receipts and collect a physical ARC if required.

七、注意事項 / VII. Important Notes

1. 居留證到期前請及早申請延期。
Apply for an extension before your ARC expires.

2. 住址或其他登記事項異動，應於法定期限內申報，以免受罰。
Report changes to your address or registered information within the required period to avoid penalties.

3. 居留逾期可能涉及罰鍰、居留資格及出入境限制；逾期處理依移民署最新規定辦理。
Overstaying may result in fines and affect your residence or re-entry eligibility. Follow the latest NIA rules.

4. 出境前請確認居留證於返臺時仍有效，並確認入境所需文件。
Before leaving Taiwan, ensure your ARC will remain valid when you return and check the entry requirements.

5. 休學、退學或畢業可能影響就學居留資格；請及早洽詢移民署及學校。
Taking a leave of absence, withdrawing, or graduating may affect your student residence status. Consult the NIA and CGUST in advance.

6. 畢業後有留臺覓職需求者，請依當時適用之法規與資格向移民署申請，不應假設原就學居留資格自動延長。
Graduates wishing to remain in Taiwan to seek employment should apply under the applicable rules and eligibility requirements; student residence status is not automatically extended.
