境外申請居留簽證(僑生、外國學生)/Overseas Application for a Resident Visa (Overseas Chinese and International Students)
簽證是外國學生入境臺灣的重要文件。為順利辦理外僑居留證（ARC）， 我們強烈建議學生於來臺前申請適當的就學居留簽證。 即使您來自免簽證國家，或符合落地簽證、停留簽證入境資格， 仍應事先確認相關居留申請規定，以免入境後須出境重新申請簽證或辦理其他手續。
A visa is an important entry document for international students traveling to Taiwan. To facilitate the application for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), we strongly recommend applying for an appropriate resident visa for study purposes before arriving in Taiwan. Even if you are eligible for visa-free entry, a visa on arrival, or a visitor visa, please check the applicable residence requirements in advance. Otherwise, you may need to leave Taiwan to apply for a new visa or complete additional procedures.
一、應備文件 / I. Required Documents
Online visa application form, printed and signed.
2. 六個月內拍攝之二吋白底彩色照片2張。
Two 2-inch color photographs with a white background, taken within six months.
3. 護照正本及影本（效期至少六個月，且有空白頁）。
Original and copy of passport (valid for at least six months with blank pages).
4. 本校正式錄取通知書。
Official CGUST Admission Letter.
5. 最高學歷證明及歷年成績單。
Highest academic diploma and academic transcripts.
6. 最近三個月內健康檢查合格證明。
Health certificate issued within the previous three months.
7. 財力證明或獎學金證明。
Proof of financial support or scholarship certificate.
8. 其他依個案要求之證明文件。
Other supporting documents as required.
※ 國外核發文件可能須經駐外館處驗證，請依官方規定辦理。
※ Documents issued overseas may require authentication by an ROC overseas mission.
二、申請流程 / II. Application Procedures
Prepare the required documents and apply for a Resident Visa at an ROC overseas mission.
2. 經審查核准後，取得簽證並安排來臺行程。
After approval, obtain your visa and arrange your travel to Taiwan.
3. 入境後依規定申請外僑居留證（ARC）。

四、注意事項 / IV. Important Notes
Visitors entering visa-free, with a visa on arrival, an eVisa, or a visitor visa for a non-study purpose generally cannot change to residence status for study.
2. 持符合就學目的之停留簽證者，得依規定於停留期限屆滿前向移民署申請居留。
Holders of eligible study-purpose visitor visas may apply for residence through the NIA before their permitted stay expires.
3. 持居留簽證入境者，應於入境次日起30日內申請外僑居留證（ARC）。
Resident Visa holders must apply for an ARC within 30 days, counted from the day after entry.
4. 錄取通知書不代表簽證一定獲准，請提早辦理。
An admission letter does not guarantee visa approval. Please apply early.
